This one and a half day course is designed to give managers and Safeguarding Leads the skills, understanding and confidence to undertake their role to ensure the wellbeing of others, including the prevention of abuse and neglect.
Attendance on this course assumes that Managers and Safeguarding Leads have a working knowledge of Safeguarding for Adults and Children due to their role. If you need a refresher please attend one of our Safeguarding refresher sessions.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility and having an understanding of the issues and processes is essential for anyone, regardless of role or status as paid employee or volunteer. However, there are also both legislative and specific role responsibilities for trustees and managers around:
• Leadership and accountability
• The organisation and its beneficiaries
• People and risk
No formal qualifications are necessary but a reasonable standard of English will be expected.
