The Timebank is a system in which a person gives some of their time in exchange for something else. Traditionally this could be one person giving a couple of hours of their time to paint a wall, in exchange they would receive someone else's time & skills to do something for them. With our Timebank, we have developed a credit system that allows us to offer young people who give their time the opportunity to claim rewards in the form of services, activities or items. Time Credit systems work on a simple hour-for-hour basis: for every hour you give to your community, you earn one Time Credit, which you can then bank and spend on an activity of your choice, or alternatively, gift to another person or donate to a community group or charity. The Timebank system is hosted by Timebanking.org using their Time & Talents database. Click here for the Timebank login page. How do I get involved?
