Cornwall Council has awarded The Learning Partnership for Cornwall and IOS four contracts to deliver quality services for young people across Cornwall. Collectively known as Your Way the services now available are as follows: Community DevelopmentInformation and AdviceEmotional ResilienceTimebanking Your Way services are being delivered in partnership with Young People Cornwall, Xenzone-KOOTH, Penwith Community Development Trust and Volunteer Cornwall and will be jointly designed, developed and managed with young people. The Timebank is a system in which a person gives some of their time in exchange for something else. Traditionally this could be one person giving a couple of hours of their time to paint a wall, in exchange they would receive someone else's time & skills to do something for them. With our Timebank, we have developed a credit system that allows us to offer young people who give their time the opportunity to claim rewards in the form of services, activities or items. Time Credit systems work on a simple hour-for-hour basis: for every hour you give to your community, you earn one Time Credit, which you can then bank and spend on an activity of your choice, or alternatively, gift to another person or donate to a community group or charity. The Timebank system is hosted by Timebanking.org using their Time & Talents database. Click here for the Timebank login page. How do I get involved? If you wish to join the Time Bank Your Way, refer a young person or become a Time Bank Buddy (+19's) then you can do so by completing the Time Bank Enrolment Form or you can download the printable form to complete and send back to us either via post or email to [email protected]. If you are under the age of 16, please ensure that your parent/guarding completes the parental consent part of the sign-up form as we cannot activate your Timebank account without consent. Can't see anything that interests you, get in touch and let us know what you would like to see on the list. Volunteer Cornwall Transport 1 credit is equal to 2 miles. The journey is based on the car not the number of passengers. The more passengers carried means that the individual spend for each volunteer is reduced. Hall for Cornwall Tickets to any show other than comedians (subject to age restrictions) 4 credits The Bridge Community Centre, Unit Skate Park – Launceston Weekday sessions in skate park – 6 credits Weekend sessions in skate park – 8 credits Gift Vouchers (e.g. Starbucks, Pizza Hut, iTunes) £5 – 10 credits£10 – 20 credits£15 – 30 credits£20 – 40 credits Eden Project – entrance to Eden Child (5 – 16) – 28 creditsAdult – (16+) 50 credits Newquay Zoo (+ Paignton) Under 15 years – 20 credits16 years+ - 25 credits For more information on booking your rewards, find your desired reward and requirements for booking in the PDF document. How do I get my rewards? Timebank Your Way will arrange for tickets or vouchers to be sent to you and deduct the credits from your Timebank account.
