Cornwall Celebrates Volunteering 2017 *** Nominations Now Closed *** The nominations are in and we are now in the process of shortlisting those we have received down to just three per category. The final panel, chaired by the Lord Lieutenant, will then review these and select the winners to be announced at the ceremony at the Atlantic Hotel in Newquay in November. This year, we have made some minor changes to the categories, merging "Health" with "Supporting Elders" to create a "Health & Care" category and renamed the "Personal Development and Overcoming Barriers" category to simply "Personal Development" The full list of categories is shown below and you have until 8th September 2017 to make your nominations - which you can do on or offline. **Click here to see photos from the event on our Facebook Page** **Click here to see Case Study Winner Videos from the event on our Youtube page** Of course in our eyes, every volunteer deserves recognition and whilst we cant give certificates to all 140,000 of Cornwall's volunteers, we can shine a light on their outstanding work through events like this. Everyone who is nominated will receive a certificate whilst the Highly Commended and Winners will join us at the Awards Ceremony and have glass trophies and certificates as a reminder of the day.
