Redruth Healthy Living Centre
Here at the Redruth Healthy Living Centre, we are here to promote healthy living and wellbeing in our local area. We are aiming to provide information and help to the general public, as well as anyone with any specific requests for advice. We are using our window space to promote various causes which are hopefully pertinent and relevant to many people, who can gain some tips and advice just by walking past our building. Also, we are aiming to equip ourselves with literature that covers a whole region of wellbeing so that any interested parties are never far away from some easy steps to enhance their quality of life.
At the current time, anybody who comes in to the centre will have the option of eating from our fruit bowl, this ties in with our promotion of the ‘5 fruit and veg a day’ campaign. We hope that this is just the first of many campaigns which hopefully get our message across whilst keeping things light, therefore making people realise that improving their health can be simple and enjoyable.
In the upcoming weeks we intend to hold an open day to introduce ourselves to the local community. Hopefully we’ll have a range of events which are both entertaining and informative, such as the ‘smoothie bike’ – by pedalling the bike and getting exercise, the blender kicks into action and you can reward yourself with a delicious fruit drink! More details will soon follow, so please keep looking at this page, or alternatively email us to be told of any updates.
In the meantime, please feel free to come along and see what we are building here. As mentioned before, fruit is readily available, along with a cup of tea or coffee.
