Volunteer Cornwall is hoping to launch a recruitment campaign in the new year for adult volunteers for uniformed youth services (Guides, Scouts, Cadets etc). Senior Police in Volunteering Action

Senior police officers from Cornwall have spent the day volunteering in Camborne in an event organised by Volunteer Cornwall. Part of our work includes encouraging employers to release staff for volunteering as a way of training and developing teams and individuals. We were delighted when the Senior Management Team for Cornwall Policing asked us to arrange a volunteering day for them and as you can read from this BBC report, they spent the day helping residents of the Pengegon Estate in Camborne with a spring clean.

Truro Well Being Centre

On Friday 27th January at 11am we will be formally opening the Truro Well Being Centre with the Mayor of Truro.

If you havent been to the Centre yet, it is in the old Tourist Information Office on Boscawen St in the heart of Truro and is somewhere you can go to find out about the massive range of activities and resources in and around Truro which can help you improve your physical and mental health and well being.
