CIEH Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work

Overview

Who needs this? Designed for first aiders in lower-risk work environments

This qualification introduces candidates to:

• The roles and responsibilities of a first aider
• The legal requirements for first aid provision
• The importance of accurate incident reporting
• First aid equipment and its safe use
• The need to minimise the risk of infection
• The importance of assessing an incident
• Undertaking a primary survey
• When and how to call for help

CIEH Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid

The national standards for first aid in childcare settings state that ‘at least one person who has a current paediatric first-aid certificate must be on the premises at all times when children are present’. Additionally, at least one person with a current paediatric first-aid certificate must accompany every outing.

Course duration: two-day programme

Assessment method: practical assessment plus an examination consisting of multiple choice questions

CIEH Food Safety courses with specialisms in Catering, Manufacturing and Retail Levels 1-3

These courses are intended to provide anyone working with food with a good understanding and knowledge of food hygiene.

They range from half a day to three days long.

Prices range from £45.00 per person.

CIEH  Emergency First Aid at Work Level 2

This qualification introduces candidates to the roles and responsibilities of a First Aider as well as First Aid techniques. The course is one day long and costs £75.00.

NEW to Volunteer Cornwall Paediatric First Aid Level 2

The Practice Guidance in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets out the first-aid training requirements for Ofsted-regulated child-care settings. This guidance includes details of the course content and the duration of the training. The CIEH Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid has been developed to meet these requirements and is based on the QCF Units F/600/2036 and J/600/2037.

The course is two days long.

CIEH Health and Safety courses, Level 1-3. Including awards in Principles of Manual Handling and Principles of Risk Assessment

These courses are designed to ensure that all employees are aware of their own safety and the safety of customers, contractors and the public.

These qualifications are essential for anyone wishing to become a CIEH registered trainer or to teach in post 16 education.

They range from three to five days long.

Prices range from £260.00 to £475 per person.

CIEH Conflict Resolution and Personal Safety Level 2

This qualification provides employees with a foundation in conflict resolution, with emphasis on the importance of personal safety to enable them to protect themselves in the face of confrontational behaviour. This is a one day programme costing £75.00 per person.

CIEH Environmental Principles and Best Practice Level 2

This qualification has been created to provide an awareness of key environmental concepts and an introduction to environmental management systems. This is a one day programme costing £75.00.

Mentoring and Befriending

This course provides and introduction to mentoring and befriending.

This is a two day course costing £160.00.
