I am a Cornwall Council employee and our team are going to spend the day volunteering next week at 'pigs and people' this is a great way to give something back to the community as well as a fab team building / bonding experience. We are looking forward to our placement which was kindly set up by Martin at Volunteer Cornwall. We will be giving a day back of our own time as part of the requirements of the policy…. other teams / individuals should make the most of this opportunity …. big society at work Smile

Do you know about the new Cornwall Council Employee Volunteering Policy launched on 29th June 2011. this policy enables eligible employees to take up to 2 days paid leave in any 12 month period to carry out a relevant community based volunteering activity during work time. If you would like to know more please let me know.
