Welcome to Volunteer Cornwall

Volunteer Cornwall is an organisation dedicated to developing active and engaged citizens through volunteering. Our Volunteer Centres, situated in  Liskeard, Bodmin, St Austell, Truro and Redruth, match people who want to volunteer with organisations that need volunteers. We also have a range of projects and services - all designed to support and develop volunteers and host organisations. So explore our website and find out more about what we do.

Cornwall Celebrates Volunteering

Volunteer Cornwall and partners have launched the search for nominations for the 2010 Cornwall Celebrates Volunteering awards. Volunteer Cornwall is keen for nominations to be submitted in the thirteen categories promoted in 2009 plus an additional one of Volunteer Host Organisation. This category has been established to award organisations that recruit and support their volunteers in an inclusive and positive way. The celebration of Cornwall’s army of volunteers will take place on November 18th.

Need Transport?

As part of Volunteer Cornwall, we run a Community Car Scheme using volunteers in their own vehicles to provide essential journeys to people in the community for whom private or public transport is not an option. The type of journeys we operate include health appointments, education, leisure, hospital visiting and shopping. Some journeys are paid for by statutory agencies or charities with the balance being for individuals who contact the charity for help. We helped many thousands of people last year we operated well over two million miles.

Along with the new website – Volunteer Cornwall now have a forum for everyone to talk about volunteering, training or about Volunteer Cornwall as a whole.
